Prudential Appoints Treasurer, Controller

Restructures its senior management team

Prudential Financial has appointed Robert Falzon as treasurer, who currently serve as managing director and CEO of Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI), Europe, and head of global merchant banking, and John Fleurant is appointed as controller, who currently serves as CFO of US Businesses. The appointments will be in effect at the beginning of 2010.

Mr Falzon succeeds Bernard Jacob, who will become CFO of Prudential’s US Businesses. He joined PREI in 1998 after serving as managing director in the investment banking group of Prudential Securities, (PSI). He joined PSI in 1992 and before that, he served nine years in a private placement area at Prudential.

Mr Fleurant, who currently serves as CFO, US Businesses, has held a variety of finance roles during his career at Prudential including private and international investors, individual insurance, healthcare, investments and retirement.
