StanCorp Appoints Pension Consultant For New York, New Jersey
To focus on retirement plan sales in both states
StanCorp Equities, a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group, has appointed Thomas Martin as pension consultant for the New York and New Jersey retirement plans offices.
In his new role, Martin will be responsible for retirement plan sales in both states. He worked in the retirement plan services industry for more than 11 years, primarily focused on the 401(k), 403(b) and defined benefit markets.
Prior to joining the company, Martin worked as a sales consultant with Diversified Investment Advisors. He also worked for GBS Retirement Services as an account coordinator. Martin will be working out of StanCorp's Lexington Avenue office in New York City and its Clark, New Jersey, office.
Rob Baumgarten, regional sales vice president, said: “Tom’s previous experience within the retirement plan industry has prepared him well to assist brokers, financial advisors and clients. We expect Tom to make a valuable contribution to our sales efforts in this part of the country.”
