XSI Insurance Initiates Coverage For Extreme Sports Athletes
The company is working on group plans for seasonal resort employees, who do not qualify for insurance through their employer
Xtreme Sports Insurance (XSI) has announced the release of affordable accident insurance for extreme and action sports athletes, venturing with Conseco Insurance.
Sports persons sustain a number of injuries throughout their training. XSI is putting together a professional team, sponsoring events and making a presence this year. In addition, the company is working on group plans for seasonal resort employees who do not qualify for insurance through their employer. XSI covers all action sports, including motocross and snowmobilers.
XSI’s flagship product is Accident Secure Plus from Conseco Insurance Company - accident and injury insurance. After sustaining an injury, an insured athlete fills out the necessary paperwork, submits proof of injury from a doctor, and receives the corresponding benefit from Conseco. The benefits vary, based on severity of the injury, but most bone breaks, dislocations, ligament injuries, and skin lacerations have an associated benefit, the company said.
